What I Love About Mountain Lake Resort

May 17, 2019

If you’re looking for a quick getaway from the congested metro city for a breath of fresh air. Mountain Lake Resort is the best places to go to. I was fortunate enough to be invited to this adventure theme park with my fellow bloggers. The resort is located beside Lake Caliraya overlooking the majestic Mount Banahaw of Quezon. The 300-hectare resort perfectly blends tropical accommodation and fun-filled outdoor activities.

The Mountain Lake Resort has amazing amenities like dining with a veranda view enjoying the sunrise or sunset for a great dining experience at "La Cucina" restaurant, indulge in a great shopping experience with in-house shops, secure and spacious locker rooms, best bars serving some of the best alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, hot and cold showers after extreme adrenaline activities, skylighted jacuzzi and sauna to relax after great outdoor workout, and last but not the least their exceptional massage available on call.

1. How Do I Get To Mountain Lake Resort?
You have 4 options on how to get there which I have listed down for your convenience.

Option 1 - Through South Expressway (Private Vehicle)
Take the South Expressway all the way to Calamba Exit. At Calamba Crossing (SM Calamba), turn right. Straight ahead using the highway passing towns of Los Banos, Bay, Vistoria, Pila, Sta Cruz, and Pagsanjan. After passing the Pagsanjan Archway, you will see a T road at the end of which is a Catholic church. On the T road, turn left to Lumban, then drive for 4 km, then you will see a Y road, take the right. Drive the 6 km ascent, then you will see Caliraya Recreation Center. Approximately 5 km further, on the left side is the entrance to Caliraya Springs Golf and Mountain Lake Resort.

Option 2 - Through Rizal (Private Vehicle)
From EDSA take Ortigas Avenue and turn right at the first intersection after the Cainta junction towards Taytay. Following the main highway bound for Laguna, pass through the eight municipalities of Rizal. Make a U-turn at Barangay Bagong Silang, Lumban to start to ascend to Caliraya Lake.

Option 3 - From Cubao (Public Transport)
From the Cubao Bus Terminal, take a bus bound for Pagsawitan. The ride will take you approximate 2.5 hours of travel time. Upon reaching Pagsawitan terminal, take a tricycle or a jeepney with the signboard “Lumot”. This ride will go up using Lumban-Caliraya-Cavinti Road, pass by Caliraya Recreational Resort/Caliraya Resort Club, Inc., Lagos Del Sol Resort then after you will see Entrance gate of Caliraya Springs Golf and Mountain Lake Resort.

Option 4 - From Metro Manila (Public Transport)
Take a ride at the Sta Cruz-bound bus of HM Transit on EDSA Cubao or Green Star on LRT/Taft Avenue.

3. (Fun Filled Adrenaline)Activities

One of the main attraction is Caliraya Springs Golf Course which offers a treat like no other with its uniquely designed Arnold Palmer 18 Holes. The course is built around the beautiful Caliraya Lake overlooking Mt. Banahaw mountain which will take your breath away.

There are many activities that you can enjoy with your friends, co-workers, and family members of all age groups. The obstacle course will provide you exciting and adrenaline filled activities which you can never experience in the city. It is a perfect place for Family Bonding, Team Building Exercise, and Corporate Events whether it is for a small group or a large group greater than 100 people.

Some of the best activities that I really enjoyed in Mountain Lake Resort:

Banana Boat

Hanging Bridge

Water Slide

Lake Fishing

Swan Boat

After all those exciting and intense activities, we headed to the finest dining restaurant located in the resort. La Cucina De Caliraya offered a variety of local cuisine and drinks which we enjoyed to the fullest. We also loved their boodle fight style food theme set up for our lunch.

From my overall experience, I can confidently say that Mountain Lake Resort has the most adrenaline and fun-filled activities suited for all age groups. It truly was a place where nature meets adventure. I enjoyed the adrenaline thrilling adventures, mouth-watering dishes, watching the stars under the night sky was truly a once in a lifetime event.
